Work with me
For the past twenty years, I have designed and taught courses on Asian American literature, Filipinx American Cultural Studies, American Studies, Ethnic Studies, and Critical Gender Studies.
I’ve also delivered public lectures and educational workshops outside the university space for community groups, non-profit organizations, and businesses.
Public Lectures
I deliver public lectures on Asian American history and culture generally and the Filipino/a/x experience specifically depending on the needs and goals of your group or organization.
Interactive Workshops
I design workshops for your group or organizational needs, meeting participants where they are at, and centering dialogue to enable the collaborative production of knowledge on issues dealing with equity, diversity, and inclusion in educational settings specifically.
Courses
As an Associate Teaching Professor and Director of the Dimensions of Culture Program at UC San Diego, I am privileged to help students develop their critical reading and writing skills through the exploration of issues of diversity, justice, and social change in the United States.
My goal as an educator is to co-create with my students a classroom environment where we can all learn from one another and use what we learn to impact our communities.
If you're interested in exploring these topics and developing your critical thinking and writing skills, I'd love to have you in my class!
